Booking Policies

A card authentication of £10 per person is required to secure table bookings. The money will only be claimed if your entire group fails to show for the reservation. Tables are held for up to 15 minutes from the reserved time so please let us know if you are running late or unable to attend.

Table bookings can be made in the pub and restaurant for drinks, lunch or dinner. The Potting Shed and No 30 event spaces are bookable for private hire, you can see more information on our spaces HERE.

Parking

We have no parking on site, but there are a number of Pay and Display options around!  There is ample on-street parking at Chesterton Hall Crescent, a 5 minute walk from the pub.

Accommodation

Don’t fancy leaving us? You don’t have to! With a range of different rooms available to book, you can forget the taxi and just stay the night instead. We have 8 boutique bedrooms in the heart of Cambridge – from £109 per night.

Decorations

You’re welcome to decorate the space as you wish, we just don’t allow confetti, confetti filled balloons, sparklers or anything stuck to our walls.

Children

Children are welcome at any time but must be accompanied by an adult.

THE ICONIC CAMBRIDGE PUNT
Enjoy a relaxing punt during your visit and enjoy beautiful views of the City and it’s Universities.  We recommend booking with Scudamore’s and tours can start from the Quayside or Mill Lane punting stations.

Dog Policies

You’re welcome to bring your furry friends to The Waterman! Our rooms are dog friendly too, with a charge of £10 per dog per night.

Planning Your Visit

The Waterman is a 20 minute drive / 35 minute walk from Cambridge train station.  We are easily accessible by car, bike, foot or bus routes in the area.

Accessibility

The pub and No 30 are both wheelchair accessible and we have an accessible bathroom in the main bar.  There are a few steps leading down to the Potting Shed, so this is not fully accessible.  Our bedrooms are all located on the first floor and can only be accessed by the stairs.

Consumption of own product on the premises / Corkage

We don’t allow external catering or corkage.  All our menus can be found on the food & drink page onour website!

Live sports are shown in all areas of the pub, including the garden.  Bookings are usually taken, but full details can be found HERE
